COACHING STAFF
We’ve Built a Legacy — Now We’re Building the Future.
Over the past decade, Raiders Volleyball Club has become one of the most successful clubs in Aotearoa — both on the scoreboard and in the lives of the athletes and coaches who have passed through our doors.
In 2024, that legacy grew.
We fielded four men’s teams and two women’s teams, welcoming more players than ever before. We also launched the Pirates Programme, a targeted training initiative for 13–15 year olds — because we believe in investing early, developing well, and keeping young athletes in the game for the long haul.
But with growth comes responsibility. And opportunity.
More athletes want to wear the Raiders shirt. More young people are falling in love with volleyball. And we want to give them the coaching, community, and development they deserve.
That’s where you come in.
We’re looking for passionate, committed coaches to join our whānau for the 2025 season and beyond — across both men’s and women’s programmes, from development squads to senior teams.
Whether you’re an experienced coach ready to lead, or someone eager to grow as an assistant, we’ve got space for you. Especially if you’re a female coach — we’re deeply committed to creating more pathways and opportunities for wāhine in volleyball.
And you won’t be doing it alone.
You’ll be supported by a coaching crew stacked with knowledge and experience:
• Richard “Sooty” Casutt – Head Coach (Men & Women), ex-Volley Ferns Head Coach, Volley Blacks Assistant
• Johan Timmer – NZ National Team Player, USA Scholarship Athlete
• Greg Vukets – Canadian National Team Player, Mental Skills Coach
This is more than just coaching. This is mentorship, leadership, and legacy-building.
A koha (donation) is offered in recognition of your time and mahi.
So if you’re ready to make a difference — to give back, step up, and help shape the next chapter of Raiders Volleyball — we’d love to hear from you.
